The scope of Work to be completed under this project generally consists of: Milling/removal of bituminous pavement, removal of aggregate base, removal of existing base, 12-inch subcut, curb & gutter removal, sidewalk removal, manhole and gate valve adjustment, concrete curb & gutter, concrete valley gutter, ADA ramps with truncated domes, concrete sidewalk, 5-inch bituminous pavement, 1.5-inch bituminous overlay, traffic control, and erosion and sedimentation control. Pavement Improvements and related items consist of the following approximate quantities: 1 LS Mobilization, 1 LS Traffic Control, 1 LS SWPPP Implementation & Maintenance, 29,600 SY Pavement Removal, 19,700 SY Taper Edge Mill, 3,900 LF Curb & Gutter Removal, 420 CY Common Excavation, 1,260 SY Subgrade Preparation,1,260 SY Geotextile Fabric, 420 CY Class 5 Aggregate Base Course, 3,900 LF Concrete Curb & Gutter, 235 SY Concrete Valley Gutter, 62 EA Adjust Manholes (SS & SD), 48 EA Adjust Gate Valves, 51,700 SY Bituminous Overlay (1.5"), 29,600 SY Bituminous Pavement (5"), 49 EA ADA Ramp - Type 1A, 22 EA ADA Ramp - Type 1B, 564 SY Concrete Sidewalk, 2,200 SY Grading, Topsoil Replacement & Seeding. The work shall be done under one contract in accordance with Bidding Documents on file in the Office of the City Auditor, 514 Briggs Ave S, Park River, North Dakota. Each Bid must be completed in accordance with the Bidding Documents and accompanied by a separate envelope containing an acceptable Bidder's bond executed by the Bidders principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of North Dakota payable to the City of Park River in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the Bidder's maximum Bid submitted. This is to serve as a guarantee that the successful Bidder will enter into a Contract within seven (7) days of Notice of Award in accordance with the terms of the principal's Bid and a contractor's bond as required for the performance of such work. No Bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to the Bidder's bond, and any deficient Bid submitted will be released and returned to the Bidder immediately. All Bids must be submitted in a Bidding envelope that is securely sealed. The envelope shall be plainly marked to indicate the contents and shall show the name of the person, firm, or corporation submitting the Bid, project title, and acknowledge receipt of all Addenda. No Bid will be read or considered that does not fully comply with the above provisions regarding bonding and licensure, and receipt of Addenda, if any. Any deficient Bid submitted will be returned to the Bidder unopened. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informality in the Bids received as deemed to be most favorable to the interest of the City of Park River. All Work shall be Substantially Complete by October 29, 2021. All work including punchlist items shall be complete and ready for Final Payment by November 12, 2021.
