Renovation of an educational facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 40,400-square-foot educational facility.

Research Building Phase 4 consists of an approximate 40,400 sf fit out of multidisciplinary research laboratory that will be the cornerstone of the University's push to become a Top 20 national research facility. This facility is based on the latest improvements in research laboratory design standards. Final award of Contract will be made on the basis of the lowest, responsive and responsible bid which offers the best value. The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company will execute all trade contracts. The time for project completion as further defined in Article 28 of the General Conditions shall be thirty (30) months and shall be substantially completed in accordance with the project schedule contained in the project manual with final completion being thirty (30) days thereafter. Each trade shall complete their work within the timeframe as described in the project schedule included in this bid manual. Written Questions Due - 4-8-21 The University of Kentucky, Capital Construction Procurement Section, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all formalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the University may be served. A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held. Anyone wishing to discuss specific items is requested to submit the items in writing to Suellen Bowling, Capital Construction Procurement, no later than Thursday, April 8, 2021. Responses to Written Questions received no later than Thursday, April 8, 2021 will be provided in an addendum issued Friday April 9, 2021.
