Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Surry, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.

The Successful bidder shall be experienced in demolition and shall have adequate manpower and equipment for the scope of this project and be able to complete work within 30 calendar days after award. Successful bidder shall provide all equipment, materials, labor, tools, and supervision to perform demolition and removal of footbridge within Chippokes Plantation State Park. The Contractor shall obtain, possess, maintain, and comply with all applicable local, state, federal requirements such as licensing, permits, codes, laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and guidelines for providing services as identified. 1. Demolition of existing damaged footbridge and the west abutment. The east abutment is to stay in place 2. The Contractor is to ensure that at no time shall any equipment enter or be placed in the creek. All work must be done from the bank. 3. Contractor is responsible to ensure no demolition debris enters/falls into the creek 4. Removal of all debris, waste, and trash 5. Concrete and metal must be removed from the site, no exceptions. Contractor may negotiate transporting and dumping wood debris to a discard pile in the park and this shall be approved by park management prior to the start of the project. 6. Any damage incurred to the roadway, berms, College Run Trail, College Run stream banks, or turf in the project area will be the responsibility of the contractor and must be repaired before the project is considered complete.
