The scope of the work consists of the reconstruction of approximately 0.7 miles of Commerce Drive and 0.2 miles of Carpenter Road with full depth pavement, and resurfacing, addition of curb and gutter, addition of left turn lanes, instal- lation of sidewalks, installation of storm sewer & structures (including a pump station), installation of water main & sanitary sewer main with appropriate structures and all necessary appurtenances. The opinion of probable construc- tion costs is $3,700,000. Proposals must be submitted on the form furnished by the City; must contain the full name of every person interested therein and shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of a bond as required in Section 153.54 (A) of the Ohio Revised Code with a satisfactory surety or accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than ten (10%) per cent of the amount of the proposal by a Certified Check, Cashiers Check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 and Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code on a solvent bank, subject to the conditions provided in the Notice to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to condition of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his bid within Sixty (60) days after the actual opening thereof. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
