Plans call to rehabilitate the bridge to mitigate any current or future damage from water infiltration, raising existing stone walls to comply with ADA standards, replacing existing guiderail and adding it where required, and preserving the historic integrity of the bridge. As of April 6, 2021, a design firm has been selected. A tentative bid schedule for contractors has not been released. The project will be advertised by December 2021.
