Central Kitsap School District Progressive Design-Build Services Replacement of Fairview Middle School Request for Qualifications/ Proposals (RFQ/P# 004-21) Progressive Design-Build Services for the Fairviev,, Middle School Replacement Project Project Information: The Central Kitsap School District (CKSD) is requesting qualifications from firms inter-ested in providing Progressive Design-Build (DB) services for the replacement of Fairview Middle School on the Olympic High School campus. The Alternative Public Works contracting procedures authorized in RCW 3910 will be utilized for this project. Firms with previous DB experience or experience usin.g a project deliv-ery method similar to DB or GIVIP format are encouraged to apply. The DB will receive overall direction from designated repre-sentatives in the CKSD Capital Projects Office and will work as a member of an integrated project team to achieve project objectives. This team will include representa-tives OAC Services, specialty con-sultants, and key subcontractors. The Fairview Middle School Replacement Project is located in Bremerton, Washington. It consists of new facilities totaling approximately 85,000 sf The project :relocates the school from the existing facility built in 1971 to the recently modernized Olympic High School Campus less than two miles away CKSD anticipates an academic wing of the Olympic High School facility will be con-verted to house the middle school program, with significant addi-tions rounding out the new mid-dle school facility and housing the displaced high school program. Between conversion of existing space and new construction, the scope of the project is a com.pre-hensive middle school with general classrooms, specialized labs, music programs, multipurpose areas, physical education spaces and offices for the administrative team. Anticipated DB Contract Amount: $ 18,400,000 Total Project Budget: $65,000,000 The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
