As of June 2022 this project received its notice to proceed. Construction will last until 2027. Value $157,000,000 to $222,000,000 East Bay Municipal Utility District (hereinafter referred to as the "District") has determined that all General Contractors bidding on the Specification 2139 - Orinda Water Treatment Plant Disinfection and Chemical Systems Safety Improvements ("Project") shall be pre-qualified prior to submitting a Bid on the Project. It is mandatory that all General Contractors who intend to submit a Bid for the Project ("Prospective Bidders"), fully complete the General Contractor's Statements of Pre-Qualifications ("GC-SOPQ") package, provide all materials requested herein, and be pre-qualified by the District to be on the final qualified Bidder's list. The final list of pre-qualified General Contractors will be stated in the Project Bid Documents In addition to this GC-SOPQ, Electrical Subcontractors, Excavation Support Subcontractors and Trenchless Pipe Installation Subcontractors shall also be pre-qualified under a separate, but concurrent, Electrical Subcontractor's Statements of Pre-Qualifications ("E-SOPQ"), Excavation Support Subcontractor's Statements of Pre-Qualifications ("EXC-SOPQ") and Trenchless Pipe Installation Subcontractor's Statements of Pre-Qualifications ("TPI-SOPQ"). Should a General Contractor plan to self-perform the electrical work, excavation support work and/or the trenchless pipe installation work, the General Contractor will also need to complete and submit the respective Subcontractor Statement of Pre-Qualifications to demonstrate the General Contractor's experience and qualifications to self-perform the electrical work, excavation support work and/or trenchless pipe installation work, with the understanding that all references to Electrical Subcontractor, Excavation Support Subcontractor or Trenchless Pipe Installation Subcontractor in the Statements of Pre-Qualifications from Interested Electrical Subcontractors, Excavation Support Subcontractors or Trenchless Pipe Installation Subcontractors shall mean General Contractor if that work is self-performed.
