Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Clarksville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project.
The Project includes the following Work: Construct a new nominal 12-million gallon per day (MGD) water treatment plant (WTP) with capabilities for future expansion to 36 MGD. The Project will include a wedge wire intake screen in the Cumberland River, a microtunnel from the intake screen to a dry pit submersible raw water pump station including a separate electrical building, a pre-oxidation basin, flash mix, four covered flocculation and sedimentation basins, four microfiltration membrane treatment units with associated treatment chemicals, eight pressurized granular activated carbon contactors, a prestressed concrete clearwell, a residuals processing facility, a maintenance building, a fluoride building, backup power generators (one at the raw water pump station and one at the plant site) and all associated civil, process, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and instrumentation systems required for the facilities. Only bidders that were pre-qualified as a result of their response to the Request for General Contractor Qualifications (RFQ) for the Construction of the North Clarksville Water Treatment Plant (4093-RFQ) will be accepted. Bids received from non-prequalified entities will not be accepted. This applies only to prospective prime general contractors, not potential subcontractors or other sub-entities to general contractor. Anticipated start of construction is September 2021.
