Site work for a transportation facility in Sheridan, Arkansas. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The Project consists of constructing approximately 4,900 linear feet of new chain link perimeter fence and associated clearing and grubbing. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or other negotiable instrument equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total bid is required and shall be made payable to the Sheridan-Grant County Regional Airport. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of ninety (90) days. The goals and timetables for minority and female participation, expressed in percentage terms for the contractor's aggregate workforce in each trade on all construction work in the covered area, are as follows: Goals for minority participation: 16.4% Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9% Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The requirements of 49 CFR Part 26, Regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation, apply to this contract. It is the policy of the Melbourne Municipal Airport to practice nondiscrimination based on race, color, sex, or national origin in the award or performance of this contract. All firms qualifying under this solicitation are encouraged to submit bids/proposals. Award of this contract will be conditioned upon satisfying the requirements of this bid specification. These requirements apply to all bidders/offerors, including those who qualify as a DBE. A DBE contract goal of 3.45% percent has been established for this contract. The bidder/offeror shall make good faith efforts, as defined in Appendix A, 49 CFR Part 26 (Attachment 6), to meet the contract goal for DBE participation in the performance of this contract. Mechanics and laborers on the project shall be paid not less than the minimum hourly rates set out in Wage Determination No. AR190165, U.S. Department of Labor, a reproduction of which is bound in the contract documents. The Sheridan-Grant County Regional Airport reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to reject any or all bids or to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owner's best interests.
