Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Gary, Indiana. Completed plans call civil work for a sidewalk / parking lot and transportation facility.

The Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD) is seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for DT Project 3. DT Project 3 is one of five construction projects comprising NICTDs Double Track or DT Project and is the work relating to construction of a stationhouse and east parking lot in Gary, Indiana as described in the Contract Documents. The DT Project is being delivered using five separate construction contracts. DT Project 3 consists of work relating to construction of a stationhouse and east parking lot in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Contract Documents included with these Instructions to Bidders include a full description of the Work required for construction of DT Project 3. Final Submission of Questions: 3:00 PM, Friday, February 12, 2021 Response to Questions: 3:00 PM, Friday, March 5, 2021 Bid Award: On or after March 25, 2021 Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid must accompany each bid in accordance with Indiana law. Bid security shall be a certified check or bid bond on the form provided in Form E and shall be the bidder's guarantee that said bidder will, if the Construction Contract is awarded to said bidder, execute the Construction Contract within five (5) days of submission by NICTD to the successful bidder. NICTDs Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal for this project is seventeen percent (17%) of the bid price. Bidders are required to make good faith efforts to meet or exceed NICTDs goal. NICTD will award the Construction Contract for DT Project 3 to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and Applicable Law. NICTD reserves its rights as stated in the Instructions to Bidders and under Applicable Law.The bid opening will be held virtually. Information to participate in this meeting can be found in the Instructions to Bidders. All questions should be directed to the attention of Anthony Siegmund, Purchasing Manager, in care of Alex Largen at alexandra.largen@nictd.com. All questions must be submitted via email. Questions via telephone or person to person are not accepted. All questions must be submitted no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, February 12, 2021. Questions submitted after that time and date will not receive a response. Final Completion shall occur no later than May 20, 2023, as may be adjusted in accordance with the Contract Documents.
