The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for acceptance by the Borough for ITB21-025 Central Peninsula Landfill Leachate Tank Cleaning, Inspection, and Repairs. The project consists of the following: The Kenai Peninsula Borough Solid Waste Department at the Central Peninsula Landfill (CPL) is looking for assistance with cleaning, inspection, repair, and recoating of the leachate storage tank. The leachate tank is 30 ft. tall x 40 ft. wide with a nominal volume of 282,000 gallons. The tank is bolted steel construction covered with 5 inches of insulation banded to the exterior in two layers, with two (2) 30-inch manway side hatches, and roof hatch. The interior of the tank consists of small diameter pipe with membrane bubble diffusers elevated approximately 1 foot off the tank floor and various inlet/outlet ports. This work will commence July 1, 2021 and must be completed no later than August 31, 2021. Requests from Bidders for interpretation or clarification of the Bid Documents shall be made in writing to the Purchasing and Contracting Director and shall arrive no later than 5:00 PM on April 27, 2021. The subject line of the email should read, "Questions: ITB21-025 Central Peninsula Landfill Leachate Tank Cleaning, Inspection and Repairs." This contract is subject to the provision of State of Alaska, Title 36, Minimum Wage Rates. The subsequent contract will require certificates of insurance and may require performance and payment bonds. Bid Bond - I have electronically verified my bid bond; I have provided a copy of my cashiers check; or my bids is less thant $100,000 A 5 percent local preference policy has been established and may be applied to all purchases under $50,000. A local business is defined as: any business or company having a physical presence in the Borough, registered in the Borough to collect sales tax, and locally provides the products and services sought.
