Renovation of a mixed-use development in Calamus, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of an educational facility.
Work of this project consists of a new secure entry and early childhood center addition and interior renovations to the existing Media Center, Computer Lab and Main Office. A new Media Center addition is being added along with interior renovations to accommodate a new Collaboration Space. New exterior walls are masonry bearing walls with brick and metal panel veneers. Interior work includes masonry and gypsum board frame wall partitions along with exposed acoustical long span decking and suspended acoustical ceilings. Other finishes include tile carpet, luxury vinyl flooring and painted walls. Roof top units are utilized as the primary means to heat and cool the renovated and new spaces with supplemental radiant heating where required. A sprinkler system is being added to the new early childhood portion of the project.
