INVITATION TO SUBMIT AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - EOI-21-01 to be short-listed to respond to a subsequent RFP for the Design-Build of Central Community Club House and Rink Surface at 700 1st St S in Kenora, ON. The City of Kenora (COK) invites Expressions of Interests (EOI) from Design-Build teams who are interested in responding to an upcoming Request for Proposal (RFP) for the design and construction of an approximately 2,100 sq. ft. Clubhouse, permanent skating rink with boards, double volley ball court (relocated from the Kenora Rec Centre) to be used as a winter ice surface and associated green space at 700 1st Street South in Kenora, ON in partnership with the Central Community Club Executive and the City of Kenora. The purpose of this invitation to submit an EOI is to: 1. Establish a short-list of qualified Design-Build teams to be invited to respond to a subsequent RFP; 2. Solicit interest from Design-Build teams that consider themselves qualified to provide design and construction services for the proposed project; 3. Seek and obtain details of the team's qualifications to allow COK to develop a short-list of the most qualified respondents, and; 4. Provide general details of the proposed project so that teams can understand the scope of work that will be included in the RFP and assemble the appropriate team who can execute the project. Project Outline: The project will entail building a slab-on-grade foundation to house an approximately 2,100 sq. ft. clubhouse building with heated community space for users and events, full kitchen, two washroom facilities, utility room and designated outdoor equipment storage space. The facility will include an extended eaves to increase window glass protection, and run-off water management, and an energy efficient radiant heating system. The building site is fully serviced by all utilities currently (i.e. water, electricity and natural gas).
