Site work for a mixed-use development in Fremont, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.

Clear and grub existing back slope, excavation for masonry unit retaining wall footing; installation of concrete rat slab; installation of masonry unit retaining wall with french drain line and backfill; distribution of excavation soils on to existing slope; stabilization of back slope with application of native seed with jute netting and compost mulch; and connection to existing irrigation with installation of temporary on-grade irrigation. All existing rock and railway tie retaining walls and pathway with curb shall remain as is and shall be preserved and protected. For vendors that wish to deliver in person, someone will be in the Purchasing Department on the day of the bid opening to accept their bids. You may drop off your bid in the days prior to the bid opening between the hours of 9:00 AM and Noon, Monday through Friday at the Delivery Entrance ONLY see below. You may call 510-494-4622 for delivery assistance. The DELIVERY ENTRANCE IS THE ONLY area that can accept proposals General. This Project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements applicable to the locality in which the Work is to be performed for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to perform the Work, including employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation, apprenticeship and similar purposes. Time for Completion. The planned timeframe for commencement and completion of construction of the Project is: forty (40) working days after the date specified in the City's Notice to Proceed License. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): Class B or C29. Contractors bidding as a joint venture must secure a joint venture license prior to award of the Contract for the Project. The successful bidder and/or its SubContractor(s) must also possess the following: a. Landscape Contractor license and certification(s) as required by law to perform the portion of the Work that relates to irrigation: C-27. Bid Security. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that, upon award of the bid, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, the insurance certificates, and the other documentation required by the Contract Documents, within ten days after City's issuance of the Notice of Award. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price Potential bidders who attend the conference will be required to furnish and properly don their own protective gear (the use of a face mask, at a minimum), as well as follow all social distancing requirements per the latest COVID-19 Alameda County Guidance.
