Renovation of a museum in Camp Springs, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.

As of 8/2/2021 project was not yet been awarded. No estimated time frame yet. The successful offeror shall provide all materials, equipment, labor and supervision necessary to Upgrade Electrical Systems and Components and related work at the Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of Natural History, 10th St. and Constitution Ave. NW, Washington DC, 20001. The Work includes, but is not limited to, all work specified in the drawings and specifications for SF Project No. 1530101 dated January 29, 2021. Construction Schedule: Total period of performance allowed for construction is 365 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Construction Budget: Estimated cost range is between $5.8M and $7.0M for the base bid. Offerors should not contact anyone else within the Smithsonian Institution regarding this RFP. All questions having an impact on the solicitation will be answered in writing and issued to all Offerors in the form of an amendment to this RFP. Strictly administrative questions will be entertained by e-mail and will not necessarily be circulated to all Offerors. The Smithsonian reserves the right to reject any and all proposals received as a result of this RFP. Noncompliance with the conditions of this RFP may result in disqualification of the offending Offeror. Contractor must submit approved Certificate of Insurance and Performance/Payment bonds within ten (10) days of contract award. All proposals must be complete and respond directly to the requirements of this RFP. Proposals must also be clear, coherent, legible, and prepared in sufficient detail for effective evaluation by the Smithsonian. A team of qualified personnel will evaluate all submitted proposals utilizing the criteria set forth in Sections L and M of this RFP. Award of a contract shall be made to the responsive, responsible Offeror, whose cost proposal is in the opinion of the Contracting Officer, determined to be the most advantageous and in the best interest of the Smithsonian Institution.
