PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The scope of work provides for removing the existing ramp at the main entrance and replacing it with a new ramp; reconstructing, and restoring components of the monumental stairs at the main entrance; remodeling the existing second floor restrooms and replacing them with new; removing windows, frames, sub-frames and sills, and replacing with new windows and supporting components and security glass; Removing existing paint on the building exterior and repainting; removal and replacement of three existing exterior doors, frames, transoms and sidelites with new ballistic resistant assemblies. COST RANGE: under $3,500,000 From earlier solicitation: The Appellate Court 3rd District (P0200) is a 15,000 square foot, 3-story building established in 1858. The scope of work provides for removing the existing ramp at the main entrance and replacing it with a code compliant ramp in addition to demolishing, reconstructing and restoring components of the monumental stairs at the main entrance. Work also includes remodeling the existing second floor restrooms and replacing them with a code compliant restroom plus removing approximately 47 windows, frames, sub-frames and sills, and replacing with new windows and supporting components. The work will include heating, ventilating, air conditioning and electrical work in addition to removing existing paint on the building exterior and painting to match original painting.
