This contractor shall provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to complete all work as specified herein and indicated in the bid specifications. This structure must be demolished and disposed of according to the National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP). Demolition Contractor will be responsible for adhering to federal, state, and local regulations and must be licensed to haul asbestos containing materials. Pre-qualification of Bidders is not required; however, at the request of the City, after receipt of bids, each Bidder requested to do so shall furnish complete information pertaining to their financial condition, record of work, equipment available for the project and such other evidence deemed necessary to show the Bidder's ability to perform satisfactorily the work on which he has bid. Failure to complete project within specified time may result in liquidated damages of $100 per day. The Contractor will execute separate performance and payment bonds, each in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price, in standard forms for this purpose, guaranteeing faithful performance of the work and the fulfillment of any guarantees required, and further guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and materials or furnishing him any equipment in the execution of the contract, and it is agreed that this Contract shall not be in effect until such performance and payment bonds are furnished and approved by the Owner. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any response or combination of bids deemed advantageous to it.
