Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Belleville, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The City of Belleville, IL will receive sealed proposals for the West A Street, 13th-17th Street, with an Alternative Bid adding West A Street, 8th 10th Street CDBG, Street Improvement Project which includes Hot-Mix Asphalt Surface Removal, Leveling Binder, Surface Course, replacement of Curb and Gutter, Entrances, Sidewalk, and other related work. Federal law requires the payment of Davis-Bacon wages by all contractors and subcontractors on this job. State law requires the payment of Prevailing Wages on this job. According to the Illinois Preference Act, the contractor must use at least 90% Illinois laborers on this project due to its funding source and the current period of excessive unemployment. Contractors that wish to bid must register with the City's Engineer office in the event of an addendum(s). Failure to register may result in being disqualified for bidding. The City of Belleville reserves the right to reject any or all bids received. The bid award will be made by the City of Belleville and their decision will be final.
