Renovation of a water / sewer project in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrades - Phase I Town of Bridgewater, MA CLEAN WATER TRUST CW-21-32 Work Included: Construction of the Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrades - Phase I. The major proposed work under this contract includes but is not limited to: 1. Civil site work including land clearing, erosion and sedimentation controls, earthwork, ledge removal, installation of support of excavation, drainage, sewerage. hydrocarbon piping, water, site process piping, site utilities, site lighting, pavement, pavement striping, gravel drives, hot mix asphalt pavement, and utility structures. 2. Site demolition including pavement, piping, existing Repair Shop and ferric chloride storage tank and containment area, site lighting, underground structures and utilities, concrete tankage and pads; 3. Removal and disposal of three below grade fuel oil underground storage tanks (USTs) and one above ground oil storage tank. 4. Rehabilitation of existing site including pavement, grading and drainage improvements, site piping and utilities, loam and seeding; 5. Coordination with natural gas utility for the installation of a gas main with appurtenances. Gas company will install gas main along Morris Ave from Plymouth St to gas service connection shown on plans. Provide gas connections to the existing Degritting, Dewatering, Administration Buildings for building heat and gas fuel supply to a new standby generator as indicated on the drawings and as specified. 6. Removal and replacement of the existing primary and secondary sludge clarifier mechanisms including walkways, railings, and gratings. Preparation of concrete surfaces for a protective coating including cleaning and debris removal, concrete repairs and installation of protective coatings shall be as indicated on the drawings and as specified. 7. Improvements to the existing RBC process including cleaning and debris removal, structural repairs and modifications to the existing tankage, replacement of existing grating, gates, handrails, RBC covers and drives; installation of new RBC's, modifications to channels, new electrical connections, and instrumentation as indicated on the drawings; 8. Maintaining wastewater flows and treatment facility operations during construction. 9. Protection of existing structures, utilities and facilities to remain. The goals for this project are a minimum of 4.20 percent D/MBE participation and 4.50 percent D/WBE participation by certified DBEs
