Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Flint, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.

The proposed Work includes the following: Construction of new bituminous asphalt taxiway pavement, new bituminous taxiway shoulder pavements, existing taxiway pavement rehabilitation (mill and overlay), taxiway edge lighting and miscellaneous electrical upgrades, pavement markings, drainage improvement, and restoration. Prime Bidder must be prequalified with MDOT. The net classification required for this project is 4000 Cb (Hot Mix Asphalt/Bituminous Paving) or 4000 Ea (Grading, Drainage Structures and Aggregate Construction). If the Prime Bidder is not prequalified in both classifications (4000 Cb and 4000 Ea), then the Prime Bidder must use a prequalified subcontractor for the classification for which it is not prequalified. In addition, this project includes a Specialty Item classification of L (Electrical Construction). If the Prime Bidder is not prequalified in this Specialty Item classification, then the Prime Bidder must use a subcontractor prequalified in this classification. These subcontractors must be designated prior to award of the contract to the confirmed low bidder. There is a Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal of 5.00% for this project. Each Bidder is individually responsible for the careful examination of the site of the proposed Work, the Proposal, Plans, General Provisions, Technical Specifications, Contract Forms, and all requirements of the project. The failure or omission by any Bidder to do so shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation with respect to its bid. The Authority reserves the following rights: to accept or reject any or all bids; and to award the Contract to the most responsive and responsible Bidder whose bid is determined by the Authority to be in its best interest. Any and all proposals as submitted herein are subject to further negotiation at the option of Authority. No contract or agreement of any kind arising out of this proposal and/or negotiations shall be binding or valid against the Authority, its department, officers, employees, or agents unless such contract or agreement is in writing, has been authorized by the Bishop International Airport Authority Board of Directors, and signed by the Airport Director or his designee.
