Lic. Class B, Est. Value - $200,000 Mt. San Antonio College of Los Angeles County, California, acting through its Governing Board of Trustees, hereinafter referred to as District, shall receive sealed bids for the award of a contract for the Art Center/Gallery, Buildings 1B & 1C Lighting Upgrade (Bid No. 3401). Once all RSVP's have been received, a follow-up email will be issued on April 27, 2021 with further instructions regarding specific time and location of the job walk. Pre-bid RFI's are due in PlanetBids under the Q&A tab by 2:00pm on May 4, 2021. Bids shall be valid for ninety (90) days after the Bid Deadline. Lighting Upgrade project in buildings 1B & 1C, rooms 3-7, & 12, includes the following: Remove existing ceiling tiles and light fixtures and track lighting. Install new light fixtures, ceiling tiles and track lighting, and paint room per SALAS O'BRIEN drawings Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a bid bond in favor of the Owner in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price in the manner described in the Owner Documents. Bidders shall comply with California Public Contract Code Section 4108 with respect to subcontractor bond requirements. DIR Registration. Each Bidder submitting a proposal to complete the work, labor, materials, and/or services (Work) subject to this procurement must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5. A Bidder who is not a DIR Registered Contractor when submitting a proposal for the Work is deemed "not qualified" and the proposal of such a Bidder will be rejected for non-responsiveness. Pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5, all Subcontractors identified in a Bidder's Subcontractors' List shall also be DIR Registered Contractors. This project requires that the Contractor and any subcontractor(s) shall pay not less than the prevailing rates of wages to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract. Copies of schedules of rates so determined are on file in the Purchasing Office and are available to any interested party upon request. Pursuant to Labor Code 1771.4(a)(4), Prevailing Wage Rate monitoring and enforcement shall be by the Department of Industrial Relations. In accordance with provisions of Public Contract Code Section 223000, substitution of eligible and equivalent securities for any monies withheld to ensure performance under this contract will be permitted at the request and expense of the Contractor. The District reserves the right: (1) to accept or reject any and all bids, (2) to waive any irregularities in the bids or bidding, (3) to be sole judge as to the merit, quality, and acceptability of materials proposed and their compliance to the specifications which in their opinion will best serve the interest of the District.
