Pursuant to chapter 2269 of the Texas Government Code and chapter 252 of the Texas Local Government Code, the City of Granite Shoals, Texas (the "City") solicits proposals and/or bids from qualified firms interested in providing construction services in connection with the construction of the Bluebriar Drive 350,000 Gallon Elevated Water Tank (the "Project"). The City will award the contract for the Project based on "best value" bidding as that term and its selection criteria are defined in section 252.043 of the local government code. The Project has been designed by TRC Engineers, Inc. The Project is anticipated to include some or all of the following items within its scope: project consists of the demolition of the existing 200,000 gallon elevated tank, construction of a new 350,000 gallon elevated tank, bid as two options (legged and composite), flex base access road, chain link fencing and gate, SCADA communication, influent and distribution pipeline connecting to the existing tank pipelines, site lighting; and all other appurtenances necessary for the complete Project. The project consists of the demolition of the existing 200,000 gallon elevated tank, construction of a new 350,000 gallon elevated tank, bid as two options (legged and composite), flex base access road, chain link fencing and gate, SCADA communication, influent and distribution pipeline connecting to the existing tank pipelines, site lighting, and all other appurtenances necessary for the complete project. The City of Granite Shoals has established a target commencement date for construction activities as July 1, 2021. The projected completion date is estimated to be July 1, 2022. The City of Granite Shoals reserves the right to phase the construction of the Project or modify the schedule as needed and determined by the City of Granite Shoals due to modifications in scope.
