The City of Manchester, NH, Department of Public Works requests qualifications for Engineering Services for continuing periodic inspection and maintenance of the City's thirty-five bridges for a period of five (5) years. The scope of work will include the following: Provide emergency/on-call bridge services; Review of previous maintenance and inspection reports; Field inspection and testing of bridges; Analyzing bridge load ratings; Defining maintenance and repair requirements; Estimating costs of recommended improvements; Providing information and sketches for in-house maintenance and repair items; Providing plans and specifications for contract work; Assisting in the bidding process, Acquiring construction easements, and; Providing construction administration and inspection. Qualifications received by the date and time specified shall be evaluated for completeness, accuracy, and the following criteria: Firm history and resources Evaluation of qualified personnel and relevant project experience Understanding of project scope and requirements Staffing capacity relative to the project Elements of project approach, methodology, and implementation Familiarity with local area and construction practices Quality control procedures Reference check Consideration will be given to responses to this Request without regard to race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, sex, marital status or disability or other handicap.
