Renovation of a municipal facility in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted . Performance and Payment Bonds submitted after award. This Contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended. Further details regarding the solicitation for bids for the project are available on MCHAs website Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project. In general, the work of this project consists of furnishing and installing a complete Boardroom Audio Visual Equipment Upgrade and new digital displays for a new Digital Signage program. The following properties are included in this contract: 1. Cherry Court - 104 W. Main Street, Norristown, PA, 19401. 2. Robert P. Smith Towers - 501 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. 3. Sidney Pollock House - 450 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. 4. Golden Age Manor - 400 Walnut Street, Royersford, PA 19428. 5. Marshall W. Lee Towers - One West Third Avenue, Conshohocken, PA 19428 QUESTIONS AND INQUIRIES: MCHA is adding a second questions and inquiry. Questions are due until 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 24, 2021 via PennBid. The BASE BID work on this project will be split up between two trades. Bidders have the opportunity to bid on one scope of work or both but not pieces of one or the other. The base bid work consists of the following B. Electrical Construction 1. A thorough review of the drawings and specifications and each site to understand the complexities of installing devices and routing infrastructure. 2. The manner in which the contractor choses to install each system's devices and the locations will be of their choosing. 3. Power infrastructure including but not limited to cable, pathway, backboxes, outlets and face places for the extension of circuits to new locations and installation of new circuits to power AV equipment in the boardroom of Cherry Court and each of the 4 tower apartment lobbies 4. Data infrastructure including but not limited to cable, pathway, backboxes, outlets and face placesfor the extension of circuits to new locations and installation of new circuits to power AV equipment in the boardroom of Cherry Court and each of the 4 tower apartment lobbies. Data cables will terminate within existing cabinets on existing patch panels. All additional termination hardware shall be furnished and installed by the contractor. 5. Cable testing with test reports and cable labeling will be required. 6. Install backboards and display mounts as well as any anchoring or additional fastening equipment. Patch and paint to match existing conditions. Furnishing and installing the monitor will fall under the AV Specialist's scope of work. 7. Relocate the Display in the boardroom to the conference room, including mount and installation of infrastructure. 8. All digital display mounts shall be installed in accordance with the ADA Accessibility Guidelines. 9. Coordinate calendar milestones between MCHA and the AV Specialist.
