Renovation of an educational facility in Honolulu, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Phase 1 will include the re-roofing work and exterior parapet and canopy repairs. Roofing: The existing roofing assembly consists of single ply Thermoplastic (TPO) roofing membrane, brown insulation, white foam insulation and a gypsum board sheathing on a corrugated metal roof deck at the main roof and over a concrete roof at the Elevator Wing Addition. The roofing was installed in 2000 and has reached the end of its life expectancy. The surface has mildew and many areas were recently patched under warranty to correct leaks. This project will remove the existing roofing down to the existing metal deck and existing concrete roof substrate, and provide a new roofing assembly consisting of the following - 3-ply Modified Bitumen Roofing: torched-down applied base sheet, intermediate ply and mineral surface cap sheet. - Recovery Board/Sheathing: 3/8-inch gypsum board - Rigid Insulation: Composite insulation with R 25 thermal resistance value. - Temporary Roofing: One-ply mod bit torched-down base sheet. - Gypsum board Sheathing (above existing corrugated metal roof deck): 5/8-inch, Type X, WR gypsum board - Fluid Applied Roofing System, consisting of polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA) waterproof membrane with reinforcing fabric, shall be applied at all roofing penetrations and over the existing concrete roof parapet walls Submit written questions using Hawaii Electronic Procurement System (HePS) at www.sicomm.net
