The work in this contract is for the Sanitary Sewer Phase 89 Manhole Rehabilitation for Clear Lake City Water Authority. The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate sanitary sewer manholes which have high flows and are near or within roadways. The justification of the chosen rehabilitation method of cured-in-place liner is to reduce the expense of bypass pumping and the likelihood of having to perform any future rehabilitation on these chosen manholes along Bay Area Boulevard. In general, this work consists of: Rehabilitating sanitary sewer manholes with cured-in-place Triplex liner system to stop infiltration and increase the structural integrity of the manholes. Resetting and resealing sanitary sewer manhole frame and covers that are offset to allow better access and stop infiltration. Removing and replacing sanitary sewer manhole frame and covers, as directed by engineer, to reduce infiltration due to corrosion and improve the structural integrity of the manholes. Grouting the exterior of sanitary sewer manhole frames to stop infiltration and protect from deterioration. Rebuilding sanitary sewer manhole benches to stop infiltration and prevent further deterioration. Bypass Pumping, if necessary, to properly rehabilitate any manholes with high volumes of flow or that are connected to force mains, such as manhole CLC-104. Site restoration including removing and replacing concrete sidewalks and pavement including driveways, damaged turf, plants, shrubs, fences, and trees, as required. Implementation and maintenance of traffic control when required.
