Renovation of an educational facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
L217 AND L217B BRICK REPAIR AT WINDOW PERIMETER: .1 Prepare and protect existing conditions within and surrounding work areas. .2 Carefully remove existing brick around the perimeter of the windows and support existing brick to remain. .3 Inspect existing bricks removed, identify and document deteriorated and salvageable bricks. .4 Prepare and protect salvageable bricks for reinstallation. .5 Reinstall salvaged bricks and install new connectors and associated accessories. .6 Demolish existing sealant at control joints between brick and install new backer rod and sealant. L217 AND L217B WINDOW REPLACEMENT: .1 Prepare and protect existing conditions within and surrounding work areas. .2 Inspect window rough openings and surrounding wall conditions. Identify and document suspect structural damage. .3 Install new wood rough buck and prepare the rough opening with selfadhesive membranes. .4 Supply and install new window assemblies and including but not limited to anchors, anti-rotation blocks, pressure plates, self-adhesive membranes, flashings, caps, sealants, backer rods and low-expansion spray foam. L217 AND L217B INTERIOR FINISHING: .1 Prepare and protect existing conditions within and surrounding work areas. .2 Install new non-structural metal furring and including but not limited to aerated concrete screws and insulating strips continuously between furring and existing wall substrate. .3 Install new prefinished perforated finishing trim at base of wall to finish floor along the perimeter of the exterior walls. .4 Install new gypsum board and including but not limited to insulating strips continuously at edges of gypsum board to windows, casing and corner beads, and joint compound. .5 Clean and prepare gypsum board and apply new paint. L217 AND L217B MISCELLANEOUS: .1 Reinstall salvaged surface mounted electrical and salvaged cable runs and covers below the windows .2 Install new perimeter angle and reinstall existing salvaged ceiling tiles along the perimeter of the exterior walls. L217 AND L217B GENERAL BRICK REPAIR (ITEMIZED PRICES): .1 Inspect existing bricks within and surrounding work areas. Identify and document deteriorated bricks. Demolish existing deteriorated bricks and install new bricks to match existing and including but not limited to new mortar, connectors, and associated accessories. .2 Inspect existing mortar joints within and surrounding work areas. Identify and document deteriorated mortar joints. Rake and repoint existing deteriorated mortar joints. L217 AND L217B GENERAL INTERIOR FINISHING (ITEMIZED PRICES): .1 Install new rubber wall base where directed by Owner. L201 AND L223D BRICK REPAIR AT WINDOW PERIMETER (SEPARATE PRICE): .1 Prepare and protect existing conditions within and surrounding work areas. .2 Carefully remove existing brick around the perimeter of the windows and support existing brick to remain. .3 Inspect existing bricks removed, identify and document deteriorated and salvageable bricks. .4 Prepare and protect salvageable bricks for reinstallation. .5 Reinstall salvaged bricks and install new connectors and associated accessories. .6 Demolish existing sealant at control joints between brick and stairwell cladding and install new backer rod and sealant.
