The Texas General Land Office ("GLO") seeks a highly skilled contractor for coastal construction services for the rehabilitation of the Dickinson Bay Bird Island in Dickinson Bay, Texas (the "Project"). The scope of work for the Project includes all labor, materials, tools, equipment, plant, supplies, superintendence, insurance, incidentals, and services necessary or required to fully complete the work for the Project. Work items include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) Mobilization and site preparation 2) Pre-construction, construction and hazard surveys 3) Procurement, hauling, and placement of graded riprap (GRR) to construct 2,151 linear feet of breakwater to serve as shoreline protection, and 280 linear feet of exterior reef 4) Procurement, hauling, and mechanical placement of fill inside the breakwater for island creation 5) Grading 6) Four (4) day beacons 7) Aerial photography 8) Demobilization and clean-up The approximate cost range for construction of the base scope of work for the Project is $4,900,000 to $6,600,000. The GLO will consider proposals from business entities that demonstrate the ability to complete the Project within the guidelines of this Solicitation and any applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
