Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Powell River, British Columbia. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
Renovations and upgrades to the existing facility in order to extend the facility's life expectancy, improve accessibility, functionality and space optimization, modernization and ease of operations, and other improvements. TIMELINE: Funding is in place for the Recreation Complex Rehabilitation. Rehabilitation works will be tendered separately. The washroom Accessibility Project was tendered and awarded. The aquatic centre roof tender is targeted to be released this fall, with completion anticipated in the summer of 2025. Electrical upgrades and an emergency backup system is planned for the complex. Design is being put together with a design-build tender to be released this fall, to be completed in the summer, 2025.
