This project includes all work indicated in the drawings and specifications for Contract #'s D005781 including but not limited to all labor, materials and equipment necessary for completion of the Long Sault Overlook Building Rehabilitation project as follows: abatement/removal of asbestos containing building materials; selective site and building demolition/removals; site improvements including concrete and asphaltic paving and landscaping work; site utility work and building utility connections; building repairs including stone veneer masonry and concrete masonry repair work; interior and exterior building finish work; toilet partitions and accessories; roofing removal and replacement; as well as building and site electrical and plumbing removals and improvements. PUBLIC BUILDING LAW 8(6) Effective January 11, 2020, for any projects where the project design commenced on or after January 1, 2020 and for any contracts over $5,000 for the work of construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, or improvement of any State building, a responsible and reliable NYS-certified Minority or Women-Owned Business Enterprise that submits a bid within ten percent of the lowest bid will be deemed the apparent low bidder provided that the bid is $1,400,000 or less, as adjusted annually for inflation beginning January 1, 2020. PROJECT COMPLETION The completion date for this project is 300 Days after agreement has been approved by the NYS Comptroller's Office. Liquidated damages will be assessed for failing to complete the work contained in the contract documents by the stated dates. Substantial Project completion by April 1, 2022 is required for this project. If the building work is not completed and ready for public use on April 1, 2022, liquidated damages will be charged starting April 2, 2022, and will continue to be charged until the building is ready to be open to the public.
