The Grand River Dam Authority is seeking responses for turbine guide bearing repair. All questions must be submitted in writing to Trudi Miles, trudi.miles@grda.com, no later than May 3, 2021, 11:00 AM Central Time. Bearing repair: Vender to bid to sandblast, re babbitt, re machine and paint the Turbine Guide Bearing atGRDA'S Salina Pump-Storage Project, Located at Salina Oklahoma. A) Inspect, steam clean and sandblast outside diameter of guide bearing. B) Remove existing babbitt. C) Re babbitt (centrifugally cast) bearing using ASTM 23 grade 2 virgin alloy. D) Bearing shall be machined and check dimensionally per attached print spec bore to 27.510" + .002 / .000 (If needed, undercut/weld/turn fit to spec 47.500"/ 47.250" + .000/-.001. E) Paint F) NDE requirements shall be 100% ultrasonic examination with a minimum of 85% bond to base material. G) All inspection reports and dimensional checks sheets shall be sent to GRDA. H) Bidder to quote to provide new hardware including fitted bolts. I) Bid proposals are to include freight both ways.
