Renovation of an educational facility in Danville, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project consists of: Base Bid: Removal and replacement of four existing hydronic boilers with five new high efficiency condensing type boilers. Removal and replacement of existing domestic water heater with two new water heaters. Demolition of abandoned fan and replacement of existing pneumatic control combustion air fans and dampers with new DDC combustion air fans and dampers. A single stipulated sum bid will be received for all the work. It is expected a Mechanical Contractor will be the Prime Contractor with all other required work performed by Subcontractors to the Prime. The Temperature Control Subcontractor will be Alpha Controls proprietary as all existing controls are Alpha. A Bid Bond and Performance and Payment Bond will be required. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers, or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The successful bidder must agree to conform to the current rules and regulations of the Fair Employment Practices Commission. Bidder agrees to commence work upon execution of the contract. Work to occur between June 3, 2021 and September 23, 2021, or as otherwise agreed upon by the Owner. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor to all laborers, workers and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).
