Work ofthis Contract comprises general construction ofthe Phase II Cleanout Riser Extensions and Horizonal Gas Collectors located at Kekaha Sanitary Landfill, 6900-A Kaumuali'i Highway, Kekaha, Kauai, HI. The work at the facility will include the following general construction efforts: 1. Preparation and Implementation ofthe Contractor's Project Site-Specific Health & Safety Plan (HASP) and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan (SPCCP); Control ofstormwater and erosion in the work area during construction; Construction staking and As-Built surveying; Trenching; Excavation of waste materials for the Owner's disposal at the landfill working face; Installation of contractor-supplied aggregates and bentonite seals. Installation of Owner-supplied HDPE pipes and fittings and Ownersupplied soil backfill; and Preparation of As-Built Drawings. The CONTRACTOR will be required to complete the work as shown on the Construction Drawings and defined in the Contract Documents within the time frame given in the Agreement. Other construction not covered under these Contract Documents will be performed by the OWNER or other prime CONTRACTORS. The CONTRACTOR must coordinate its construction operations with those ofthe OWNER and any other prime CONTRACTORS. Other work will be identified on the Construction Drawings or during coordination meetings.
