NHDES is Requesting Proposals for Engineering Technical Services for a Condition Assessment and Recommendations for Repair or Replacement of the Measuring Flume Upstream from the Lakeport Dam in Lacon. The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) operates and maintains a measuring flume just upstream from the Lakeport Dam to monitor flows being released from the dam. The condition of the measuring flume has deteriorated over time and, as a result, it needs to be fully evaluated and, based on the results of the evaluation, either repaired, replaced or abandoned. NHDES is requesting proposals from qualified engineers to provide a condition assessment and recommendations for repair, replacement or abandonment in a technical report for the measuring flume from qualified engineers. The on-site visual inspection of the measuring flume will include an underwater inspection of submerged elements, photographic and video documentation, and technical descriptions of the condition of all measuring flume elements.
