Site work and new construction of a medical facility in La Crete, Alberta. Completed plans call for the construction of a 43,000-square-foot, one-story above grade medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
Alberta Infrastructure (AI) is working with Alberta Health Services (AHS), Covenant Health, and Alberta Health to deliver the La Crete Maternity and Community Health Center (MCHC). Scope of work includes construction of a new facility, approx. 4,319 BGSM to be located on the same site as the current Health Centre & Continuing Care Centre. The new building will be connected to the Continuing Care Centre with mechanical systems tied together between the two. Method of delivery will be construction management. TIMELINE: Request for Proposals from construction management services was awarded to Bird Construction. Construction is underway.
