The project involves various interventions to bring exit doors (single and double) up to standard located in several places in three pavilions (A, J and N). The work included, but not limited to: Replacement of doors, frames, hardware Removal of hardware parts from certain doors Repair of existing doors and frames Patching and painting work Modification of a screen door Automatic door opener installation Installation of new electrified and non-electrified panic bars Removal of existing electromagnets including wiring Installation of new empty conduits for access control Installation of new electrical distribution Installation of new exit signs New concrete ramp for one of the exterior entrances (A-M800): removal, adjustment and reinstallation of the existing uni-stone adjacent to this ramp; new steel guardrail and new steel bolard for push button Incidental works: removal and reinstallation of existing ceilings (acoustic tiles or metal slats); gypsum repairs (walls and ceilings); removal and reinstallation of existing brick cladding on some walls. The following outcomes are targeted: - Hubert-Aquin Pavilion: Metro level: A-M800, A-M026, A-M705 Ground floor level: A-R010, A-R730 - Judith-Jasmin Pavilion: Metro level: J-M700 Ground floor level: J-R980, J-R100, J-R180, J-R635 Level 1: J-1795, J-1815, J-1850 - Pavillon Paul-Gérin-Lajoie: S1 level: N-S1101, N-S1070 Metro level: N-M036, N-M466, N-M265, N-M216 The Contractor must consider that the users and occupants of the building will continue their activities during the work. The Contractor must act in such a way as to minimize inconvenience to users and staff. The Contractor must ensure that users will have access to the premises and facilities in a safe, healthy and seamless environment.
