Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Dickson, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Project includes the following Work furnishing and paying for all necessary labor, materials, tools, and other items for construction of approximately 0.60 miles of roadway including 2 at 12 Inch lanes with 2-6 wide concrete curb and gutter, and side road tie ins at Suzanne Drive,Alexander Drive Connector, and Gum Branch Road. The Work shall include but not be limited to the following: labor, materials, equipment, overhead, profit, permits, fees, testing, temporary fencing as required, site clearing, site preparation, stockpiling of topsoil, site grading, excavation, including undercutting, fills, importation of approved fill material as required, embankments, preparation of subgrade, finish grading, respreading of topsoil, surveying, construction layout, utility location verification, erosion control, traffic control, milling and over-laying, restoration of street surfaces, storm drainage, signage, pavement markings, base stone, asphalt paving courses, guardrail, seeding, watering, site cleanup and all inspection personnel and professional services required to develop, establish, and maintain an active SWPPP throughout the entire construction period. Instructions to Bidders For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders and other bidding documents. Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned to the bidder unopened. Bids will be required to remain open for acceptance or rejection for sixty (60) calendar days after the date of opening bids. The Right to Reject Any or All Bids and to Waive Technicalities is Reserved by the Owner. All bidders must be prequalified with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT). Roadway improvements will be constructed in accordance with the current TDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. All Bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1976, ITCA Title 62, Chapter 6. No bid will be opened unless the sealed envelope containing the bid provides the contractor's license number, date of license expiration, and that part of the contractors classification applying to the bid. In the case of joint ventures, this information must be provided by all parties submitting the bid. No award of any contract will be made to any firm or individual that is currently debarred by the State of Tennessee or the Federal Highway Administration. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is City of Dickson, City Hall, 600 East Walnut Street, Dickson, Tennessee 37055 The Bidding Documents may be examined at the Issuing Office or at the following locations James + Associates, 121 N. Main Street, Dickson, Tennessee 37055. Copies of the Bidding Documents and Plans will be available for examination. The successful bidders deposit is prepayment for construction documents and will not be returned. Checks should be made payable to James + Associates.
