City of Malvern, Arkansas will accept separate sealed bids on a General Contract for the renovation of an existing metal building to house the Malvern Police Department. The extent of work will include the light demolition of light fixtures, ceiling grid, a new entry into the building, floor tile, metal roof and interior concrete to run new plumbing lines. The construction consists of a new entry and covered walkway on the exterior. New exterior finishes will be added to the existing structure consisting of cultured stone and EIFS. The existing roof will be replaced with a standing seam metal roof. New interior wall construction and finishes will be constructed. The bid Guarantee can be in the form of a certified check or cashier's check made payable to the City of Malvern; a U.S. Government Bond endorsed to the City of Malvern; or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish an Arkansas Performance and Payment Bond or Bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Bid for contracts that exceed $ 25,000 in accordance with Arkansas Statute 18-44-503. The City of Malvern reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the City of Malvern.
