Bonding Estimate: $3 - $3.5 Million The work to be constructed is located within Sherman Road between Mapes Road and Ellis Ave in the City of Menifee, City of Perris, and unincorporated Riverside County. The work is comprised of construction of a brackish water transmission pipeline and appurtenances including, but not limited to the following: furnishing, delivery, and installation of approximately 5,367 linear feet of 24-inch diameter PVC brackish water pipeline (from station 10+00 to station 63+67.18) including air/vacuum valves and blow-offs, connections to two (2) existing brackish water mains with valves and associated removals as needed and construction of (2) 24-inch pipeline maintenance launching and receiving stations; trench sheeting, shoring and bracing per California Labor Code; excavation; required backfill material; pavement removal, replacement, replacement and restoration per encroachment permits; hydro-static testing, coordination for pipeline connections and testing. Questions received after this time may not be responded to. All bonds shall be executed by admitted surety insurers, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or satisfactory surety bond (by utilizing the District's Bid Bond form BB-1) for not less than 10% of the bidder's total contract price as a guarantee that the bidder shall, within seven (7) days after the mailing of a notice of acceptance of bid by the District to the bidder, enter into the written contract supplied by the District. The District shall return the bid bond, upon request. The Contractor shall furnish a faithful performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the amount of the contract and a labor payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. No bid or bid security may be withdrawn for seventy-five (75) calendar days after the date bids are received. The successful bidder shall, within seven (7) calendar days after the District mails a notice of acceptance of bid, return the signed agreement and bonds, and attend the pre-construction conference at the District office. The contract period shall commence seven (7) calendar days from the date of the Notice-ofAcceptance-of-Proposal. The Contractor shall complete all work, including testing, within three hundred thirty-five (335) calendar days. Bidders on this work will be required to be licensed by the State of California as Classification A - General Engineering Contractor and/or Classification C-34 - Pipeline Contractor at the time of the bid and at the time of award as such license is defined in Section 7056 and/or Section 7058 of the Business and Professional Code and Section 732 of the California Administrative Code.
