Ingham County (County) solicits proposals from qualified and experienced firms for the purpose of entering into a contract with the County to provide professional consulting services to assist the Ingham County Parks Department and Park Commission in updating the 2022-2026 FiveYear Parks and Recreation Master Plan, updating the Trails and Parks Millage Comprehensive Plan, and updating Park Maps. The Ingham County Parks are located just minutes from the heart of Lansing in mid-Michigan, offering more than 1,200 acres of outstanding parklands for recreation and enjoyment. Ingham County Parks include: Burchfield Park (including Bunker Rd. Landing, McNamara Landing and the Riverbend Natural Area), Hawk Island County Park (including access to the Lansing River Trail), Lake Lansing North and South Parks (including Lake Lansing Boat Launch). The 2010 Census for Ingham County, Michigan estimates a population of 280,895 with a population density of 502.3 people per square mile. The county has a total area of 561 square miles of which 556 square miles is land and 4.6 square miles is water. The deadline for submitting final questions is no later than 3:00 P.M. on May 5, 2021. The contract term is expected to begin July 2021. The County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities or irregularities in proposals, and/or to negotiate separately the terms and conditions of all or any part of the proposals as determined to be in the County's best interests at its sole discretion even though not the lowest cost. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
