Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Castor, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Work shall include the installation of new twin bridge culverts over Young Creek, located approximately 8 km northeast of Castor (SE 13-38-13-4). The Contractor shall install new twin 3.3 m dia. CSP culverts by 30 m invert length as per the Drawings and Section 18 of the Standard Specifications for Bridge Construction. The culverts will be located on square to the local road, centered at Station 5 + 550. The Scope of the Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Traffic accommodation Site isolation and water accommodation Total suspended solids (TSS) testing Demolition and disposal of bridge structure Excavation including geotextile filter fabric Supply and assembly of culvert materials Concrete collars on the upstream end of the culverts Backfill including backfill material testing Heavy rock riprap erosion protection Roadway work, including a small grade raise Permanent environmental protection devices Bid values not disclosed
