District : 01 Contractor must be qualified under Rule, 14-22, Florida Administrative Code - Work Class(es): Response Requested : Bid Proposal / Technical I-275 at Skyway Wave Attenuation TRC Members (Subject to Change) : Brent Setchell Gregory Falcone QUAN YAO The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has issued this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit competitive bids and proposals from Proposers for the design, permitting and construction of two breakwaters located approximately 200 feet offshore from the south Skyway fishing pier access road in Manatee County (FPN: 438528-2-52-01). The purpose of the breakwater is to provide both wave attenuation to prevent splashing and erosion of the recently repaired seawall and fishing pier access road and also allow for seagrass to grow behind the breakwater to satisfy future seagrass mitigation needs. Estimated Contract Time: 410 Days Stipend Amount: Not Applicable Work Mix: 40. Seawall OR 7. Drainage 11. Grading 40. Rip Rap, Rubble Rip Rap Financial Management Number: 438528 2 52 01 Special Notes: In addition to the FDOT Work Standard Work Types, the Design Build firm must have documented prior experience in design, permitting, and construction of breakwaters, for wave attenuation. In accordance with Conflict-of-Interest Procedure for Department Contracts (Procedure 375-030-006), the following Firms participated in the development of the conceptual plans or Request for Proposal for this Project and are restricted from participation on a Design-Build Firm without approval from the District 1 Secretary. The Firms identified below may not represent a comprehensive list. Firms not listed below who performed services or who are later retained to perform services on this Project are subject to restriction unless an exception is obtained from the Department. CDM Smith, Inc. RS&H, Inc. Budget Amount*: FY 21/22 $3,358,246 *Actual commitment and final execution of this contract is contingent upon approved legislative budget and availability of funds.
