Due to the extension of the Shelter in Place there will not be a public bid opening for this project. The bids will be opened by Purchasing and the initiating department. A Preliminary bid result will be posted on the City's website The Project is located at various citywide locations, and consists of the following work: Removing and replacing traffic striping, pavement markings, and raised pavement markers; installing green bike lanes; installing and removing roadside signs; delivering advance public notifications; implementing traffic controls; and other related work. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): Class A or Class C31 AND Class C32. Contractors bidding as a joint venture must secure a joint venture license prior to award of the Contract for the Project. City may not accept a Bid Proposal from, or enter into the Contract with, a bidder without proof that the bidder is registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") to perform public work under Labor Code Section 1725.5, subject to limited legal exceptions. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that, upon award of the bid, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, the insurance certificates, and the other documentation required by the Contract Documents, within ten days after City's issuance of the Notice of Award. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price. The planned timeframe for commencement and completion of construction of the Project is within 30 working days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor may commence Work for this Project up to 90 calendar days after issuance of the Notice of Award at the Contractors discretion
