ms consultants, inc. (ms) has been contracted by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to perform an in-depth inspection of the following four bridges: Alpine Road over SR 79, South Fayette Township, Allegheny County Prestley Road over SR 79, Collier Township, Allegheny County NB & SB SR 79 over WLE Railroad and Chartiers Creek, Bridgeville, Allegheny County The inspection is anticipated to start June 7, 2021, and take approximately three weeks to complete. ms will require the services of a Contractor to provide rigging, maintenance & protection of traffic (MPT) during inspection. The Contractor must have at least 10 years of experience in providing rigging services on bridge projects of similar size and complexity. The Contractor must make available the following equipment in good working order along with properly trained, competent, equipment operators. 60 under-bridge inspection crane with two rotating turrets, three-man minimum capacity bucket, power supply to the bucket, 60 minimum horizontal and 30 vertical reach, driver and operator. Provide rigger assistance for moving and holding of ladders where necessary, to access the substructures. Provide Traffic control consisting of warning signs, flags, cones, paddle boards, two-way radios and flaggers (consistent with the requirement of Publication 213). it is anticipated the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder. ms reserves the right to reject any or all bids deemed not in conformance with the bid requirements.
