Tenders must be accompanied by a certified check equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the tender, payable to the owner, or a tender bond issued by an insurance company authorized by the Inspector General of Financial Institutions of Quebec or by the Superintendent of Insurance of Canada to act as surety, established at the same amount, valid for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of opening of tenders. This tender guarantee must be exchanged at the signing of the contract for a performance guarantee and a guarantee of obligations for wages, materials and services.
