Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Julian, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking roofing services at its La Cima Conservation Camp, located in San Diego County. Services shall include, but not be limited to, the demolition, disposal, and installation of approximately 16,600 square feet of metal roofing. Full specifications and details can be found in the included Sample Agreement, beginning on page 24. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Contractor agrees to provide to the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) roof replacement services, as described herein: Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes and fees necessary to demolish, dispose of, and install approximately 16,600 square feet of roofing and install approximately 650 linear feet of rain gutter and requisite downspouts, for three (3) separate buildings at CAL FIRE La Cima Conservation Camp. Kitchen (Messhall): - Demolish, dispose of, and install approximately 7,000 square feet of metal roofing (including vented ridge); - Install approximately 250 linear feet of rain gutter (including leaf guards) and requisite downspouts; - Remove and replace approximately 500 linear feet of 2 x 8 fascia board (rough sawn spruce); - Demolish existing composition shingle roofing and underlayment, to exposed plywood sheeting; - Replace degraded plywood sheeting, as needed and as approved by CAL FIRE; and, - Install new metal roofing, per specifications and manufacturer requirements. Barracks (80-man): - Demolish, dispose of, and install approximately 9,000 square feet of metal roofing (including vented ridge); - Install approximately 400 linear feet of rain gutter (including leaf guards) and requisite downspouts; - Remove and replace approximately 600 linear feet of 2' x 8' fascia board (rough sawn spruce); - Demolish existing composition shingle roofing and underlayment, to exposed plywood sheeting; - Replace degraded plywood sheeting, as needed and as approved by CAL FIRE; and, - Install new metal roofing, per specifications and manufacturer requirements. Dry Storage Building: - Demolish, dispose of, and install approximately 600 square feet of metal roofing (including vented ridge); - Demolish existing composition shingle roofing and underlayment, to exposed plywood sheeting; - Replace degraded plywood sheeting, as needed and as approved by CAL FIRE; and, - Install new metal roofing, per specifications and manufacturer requirements. EXHIBIT A (Scope of Work) 2. The services shall be performed at 15108 Sunrise Highway, Julian, CA 92036. 3. The services shall be provided during normal business hours 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding any recognized State holidays. Actual work schedule to be coordinated by the CAL FIRE Project Representative. All additional penetrations and roofing openings to be weathered and installed for, per the manufacture's installation specifications; including plumbing, venting, and mechanical (HVAC curbs). All demo materials and construction debris to be removed and disposed of, at the expense of the contractor. Contractor shall be responsible for field verification of all measurements. All work will be in accordance with the project specifications and details. The Prime Contractor and any subcontractors must be currently registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), as specified by Labor Code section 1771.1. The Prime Contractor must provide proof of this registration and maintain registration throughout the duration of the contract. The Prime Contractor must be actively licensed with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB), with an active C-39 Roofing and/or C-43 Sheet Metal Contractor license. Licensing must remain active and current throughout the duration of the agreement. The Prime Contractor is responsible for assuring all subcontractors are appropriately licensed for their respective services provided on behalf of this project.
