Blue Ridge Community College request proposals to provide a turnkey project inclusive of all labor, materials, permits and inspections to rough in and trim out the plumbing of the new lab workstations. This project includes the following trades plumbing, mechanical, and electrical. GS 143-128.2 establishes a ten percent (10%) goal for participation by minority business in total value of work for each State building project. As an alternate, Contractor shall furnish pricing for a Performance Bond and Payment Bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in North Carolina Blue Ridge Community College request proposals to provide a turnkey project inclusive of all
labor, materials, permits and inspections to rough in and trim out the plumbing of the new lab
workstations. This project includes the following trades plumbing, mechanical, and electrical.
- GC needs to install a dedicated breaker with GFCI outlets installed on each existing
and new stations.
- GC is responsible for all walls to be painted.
- New flooring installed will be (LVT). Owner will provide type and color for the new
flooring and GC will provide the materials and labor as needed.
- Owner can provide test results of the asbestos in the room GC will work with an
asbestos abatement services for the removal of Asbestos flooring materials in the
classroom.
- GC is responsible for remove existing HVAC equipment, provide and install two (2)
24000 BTU (2 ton) wall hung air handlers and provide and install a new 4 ton
multizone heat pump.
- Concrete removal, pour back, floor patch, repair to the floor where concrete was cut
out and the metal plates are between existing lab stations.
- Access to the shut offs under the metal plate must be provided after installation of
new flooring. This is where gas and water shut offs are located
