The Corporation of the Town of Georgina (Town) is seeking bid submissions from qualified, experienced and competent vendors (respondents) to enter into a performance-based contract for the provision of winter sidewalk maintenance and snow removal services to assist the Town's forces in winter maintenance service delivery (work). The Town currently manages a network of approximately one-hundred and fifteen (115) kilometres of sidewalks and pathways, comprising of four (4) different routes. Three (3) routes are based in Keswick, and one (1) is in Sutton/Pefferlaw. This contract requires the successful respondent (contractor) to manage the sidewalk and pathway network in Keswick and shall work from the Town's Belhaven Operations Yard located at 25291 Warden Avenue, Keswick, Ontario (Operations Yard). The contractor shall provide any equipment, operational materials and operators necessary to conduct the winter maintenance of sidewalks and select walkways. The contractor shall provide a dedicated supervisor to coordinate and oversee the daily operation of operators and manage billing inquiries. All required sand and salt (winter materials) shall be provided by the Town but shall be loaded and re-loaded by the contractor.
