Scope of Work: The City is seeking proposals to provide professional consulting, planning, construction, and implementation of additions and improvements to the City's outdoor siren warning system. The City invites responses to this RFP from qualified vendors and/or teams interested in providing a turnkey Outdoor Warning System. This RFP includes updates to the control system used to activate, test, and monitor the current outdoor warning sirens located across the City. This RFP consists of the addition and/or replacement of warning sirens as may be necessary to ensure a modern and reliable system that covers the entire corporate boundaries of the City with tone-based alerting. All questions must be submitted by email or mail to jholcomb@forneytx.gov on or before the deadline date Bidders/Proposers are required to provide all materials, equipment, and labor required for the construction of the project along with a Performance and Maintenance Bond in the amount of Contract. The effective date of the maintenance period will commence upon the date of project acceptance by the City of Forney City Council. The successful Proposer will be required to furnish not only a performance bond in the amount of the contract but also a payment bond for the protection of all claimants supplying labor and materials. CSP evaluation criteria is stated in Bid Package. This information must be clearly stated and legible in the submitted bid package. Bidders must submit with their bids a Cashiers Check or a Certified Check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the maximum amount of the bid payable without recourse to the Owner or a proposal bond in the same amount. The contract award is contingent upon City Council approval at the February 15, 2022, City Council meeting.
