The project includes roadway, gravity sanitary sewer and water main infrastructure improvements. The total length of the roadway section of the project is 1,997 feet or 0.38 mile and runs between Taurus Way and Butler Ferry Road at its intersection with Commodore Industrial Boulevard. Improvements include construction of a 2-lane 24-foot wide asphalt ditch section roadway and associated storm drainage culverts and storm sewer. The total length of the gravity sanitary sewer extension is 1,657 if of 8" PVC and includes 5 manholes and a connection to an existing pump station. Approximately half of the sanitary sewer extension runs west from the existing pump station paralleling the north side of Butler Ferry Road and half runs north from Butler Ferry Road paralleling the east side of the new roadway. The total length of the water main is 2,150 if and includes 1,957 If 10-inch PVC, 67 lf of horizontal directional drilled (HOD) 10-inch HDPE, 63 lf 6" PVC water line, 63 lf 4" PVC water line and 5 fire hydrants The Contract includes erosion, sedimentation & pollution control for approximately 6.0-acres of disturbed area. A bid bond shall be required in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. A Contract Performance Bond and a Materials and Payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder. No submitted proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids. The CITY OF BAINBRIDGE, hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any formality or technicality and to award the Proposal as may be in the best interest of the Owner, or readvertise for bids. The Contractor shall warrant all materials and labor for one year after the date of final acceptance by the Owner and the Engineer. Georgia law requires that any private employer that contracts with a city for a public works contract must be registered for and use E-Verify. As such all contractors must sign the Contractor E-Verify Affidavit, all subcontractors must sign the Subcontractor E-Verify Affidavit and all Sub-subcontractors must sign the Sub-Subcontractor Affidavit. The contractor is responsible for all subcontractor affidavits and the subcontractors are responsible for the sub-subcontractors affidavits. The Contractor E-Verify Affidavit shall be included with the Proposal. The CONTRACTOR will furnish all of the materials, supplies, tools, equipment, labor, and other services necessary for the construction and completion of the PROJECT described herein.
